The Show

Now in its sixth year, The Bristol Vegan Fayre remains the largest vegan event anywhere in the world today – and the most fun

A superb site location by the Waterside in the heart of Bristol, plus an excellent organising team, top rate security, some stunning stallholders and sponsors, some supreme entertainers, an awesome line up of talks and demos, and a brilliant team of stewards and helpers ensures that everyone who visits the Bristol Vegan Fayre not only has a memorable day out, but leaves brimful with inspiration, education, some excellent shopping and of course extremely well fed.

It doesn’t matter what your current dietary status is – you’ll be welcome at the Bristol Vegan Fayre. Whether you’re a raw foodie looking for the latest info and products, a committed vegan in search of new cookery ideas and some leather free footwear, a veggie tempted by the idea of going vegan and wanting to know more about it, an ‘omnivore’ who is after reducing their meat intake and in search of a few ideas, recipes and products – or none of these, eats anything but likes a good time, enjoys a decent festival and some good bands, and can put up with a veggieburger and pint without too much issue – you know you’re all welcome – it’s an inclusive show designed to suit all comers.

For 2008 we have several new additions including an expanded Living Raw Area with a Raw Food Prep Class zone as well as Living Raw Talks Area, and we have also a ‘Victorian Circus’ for 2008 with Escapologist David Straitjacket and Contortionist Rubber Ritchie.

This year the Vegan Fayre will see a great new area which is being organised by Laura Brennand from Inspiration Beauty and Holistic Centre in Bradford on Avon. The area being known as the healing zone, will see a number of therapists coming together to offer you an abundance of therapies to try during your visit to the Vegan Fayre, be it curiosity, relaxation, stress relief, or just a chance to have a chill out whilst enjoying the festival then we will have something for you.

Laura has been a therapist for the past 15 years and during this time has travelled around the world, managing some of the top spas, and learning many new skills on the way. Since moving to Wiltshire over three years ago and establishing her business she has become quite a name for organising events in the local area,  the main one being Health and Wellbeing Weekend which this year is in its fourth year and takes place on the 5th and 6th July in the centre of the beautiful town of Bradford on Avon. During her time as a therapist Laura became very conscious of the products she was using within the salon, and to begin with her main target was to try and get away from the use of chemical based products, but when the decission came to open her own centre, she knew it was the only way forward to look for products which were not only chemical free, but also to make sure they are Vegan and Organic where possible. She succeeded when she found the range Essentially Yours, this amazingly effective range offers facial and body care products, shampoo's and conditioners, baby products, a therapeutic range for eczema and psoriasis, a range specialy for men and much more, along with a great make-up range, vegan nail polish, organic and vegan candles the centre really is dedicated to providing an all round holistic service.

We will be offering therapies over the whole weekend at the fayre, welcoming some highly experienced and talented therapists and using only vegan products to carry out taster facial treatments,as well as offering make-overs and lessons for you to watch and learn, you will be able to chat with a nutritionist, experience a variety of different healing arts from Reiki, Crystals and Angel Healings, card readings, Astrological Charts and your Aura photograhed. Reflexology, Massage and a number of ways to CHILL OUT, right by the waterside. There will also be people available to chat about the Wellbeing Netwrok which has formed a group of therpists nationwide, and have great team within the Bristol Area. All this and a chance to relax in the beautiful sunshine, down by the waterside, whilst listening to the sounds of the acoustic Stage, after your trip around the festival what better way to take in all you have seen and learnt about vegan living. Laura looks forward to personally welcoming you to the Healing Zone and thanks Timbo and the Team at Yaoh for organising such an amazing event and giving you the chance to really experience the vegan life and all it has to offer.
