Yaoh Hemp Products from Bristol are proud to organise the 6th annual Bristol Vegan Fayre. |
Since its first appearance on World Vegan Day Nov 1st 2003, the show has grown at an alarming rate and we are thrilled to be running the World’s largest Vegan event.
Probably the reason the show is such a huge success is that it’s a whole lot of fun, and most definitely the social gathering of the vegan calendar, where everyone can meet up for an orgy of vegan produce, talks, demos, entertainment, food and drink – as well as people, old friends and like minded souls – plus loads of others too.

As organisers we are ultra lucky to enjoy the unprecedented support of a huge number of individuals, organisations, businesses, visitors, supporters and workers. It’s a vast team effort to pull off an event of this scale with such minimalist resources and is only possible with the dedication of numerous people who really believe in the power of this event and the people who gather beneath its umbrella. Plus a whole load more people who really are not in the least bit interested in any of the vegan thing, they just like the vibe, the festival thing, the music, friends, family, allsorts, which makes it double good. It’s so pukka.
In fact the most awesome bit of feedback to reach our office was from Peter from Community Foods in London, who has come to the last three shows. ‘Just like a festival from the sixties’ he said. And he should know cos he was there!

Just like a festival from the sixties |

Anyone who knows Timbo, the main man behind this awesome event, will know that this is indeed a truly amazing compliment to his humble efforts. ‘The whole festival thing goes back to the 60’s’ says Timbo ’and I’m a child of that era. And deep down, I still am. I remember the first summer of Love in ‘68. I was five. And the Stonehenge Free Festivals of the late 70’s and early 80’s drew me to a life of several decades of 24 -7 non stop partying from which I’ve never quite recovered, including the heady days of the Rave scene in the late 80’s and 90’s. ‘Back in the day’, it was all about the vibe, that magical mystical untouchable unquantifiable unreachable unbottleableandsellable factor. And we had it. In abundance. And you know what? We’ve got it now! Most definitely. We have most deffo got it going on. It’s about like minded individuals coming together to create something bigger than themselves, putting the bigger picture before their own, whilst still having an awesome time. It’s a very powerful thing, people coming together to enjoy themselves.’

And enjoy is the key word here – it’s what Yaoh do. Be it their superb range of Hemp products, or their most amazing vegan fayres. It’s a crack. It’s just a whole lot of fun – as it should be.
