Entertainment

The BVF is renowned for its top drawer entertainers – and we are thrilled to welcome back two of the very best – the wondrous RUBBER RITCHIE and the fabulous DAVID STRAITJACKET. Ritchie is a world famous Contortionist who will be appearing live for two shows on the Acoustic Stage on Saturday ( www.flexinthecity.com) and David Straitjacket (www.davidescapes.com) of TV and record book fame will be also performing two shows for both Saturday and Sunday, guaranteeing the whole family will be completely gobsmacked by the antics of both these stunning vegan entertainers.

Talks and Demos

The talks and Demos areas of the BVF are an essential part of the show and for 2008 we have 5 areas with 12 talks and demos each over the 2 days – a stunning total of 60 talks and demos covering every aspect of the vegan lifestyle. The areas include the Vegan Nutrition, Living Raw and Campaigns Talks Rooms, the Raw Food Prep Zone, and the Cookery Demos area once again hosted by the affable Tony Bishop Weston, or Long John Tofu as he usually appears on the day. We also welcome aboard the wonderful Jess Michael and her company Total Raw Food, who are sponsoring the Living Raw Talks Room. BVF 08 – Dates confirmed

The dates have been confirmed for the World’s largest Vegan Event! Sat May 31st and Sunday June 1st are booked for this massive vegan extravaganza in the heart of Bristol by the waterside in the Amphitheatre!

Talks & Demos

As before, there will be a huge variety of Talks and Demos for 2008, including new for this year a Raw Food Prep Class Area, as well as a Living Raw Talks Room. Our highly popular Cookery Demos Area hosted by vegan Chef Tony Bishop - Weston is back by popular demand, as are the Campaigns and Nutrition Talks Rooms. Entertainment

As in 2007, there will be some stunning bands on the Main Stage as well as on the Acoustic Stage all weekend, meanwhile a Victorian Circus is shaping up with the return of Escapologist David Straightjacket and Contortionist Rubber Ritchie. More to be announced shortly – get in touch if you want to perform.

Vegan Environmental Awards 2008 – Preview

 

The 8 categories and 8 nominees in each category for the Vegan Environmental Awards 2008 have been announced. A total of 64 businesses, organisations, people and products can be voted for once a mo nth from Jan 1st 2008 up till midnite May 31st 2008 – the winners will be announced at the BVF 08 on Sunday June 1st. Voting starts online Jan 1st and each month a £50 hamper (vegan, of course) will be given away to one of our online voters
