Timbo - Yaoh's
manager, author of A Vegan
Guide To Bristol and originator
of the BVF back in 2003.
Colorful and chequered
career includes being a
top goalkeeper, Stonehenge
Free festival, setting
up the UK's first hemp
company, a hugely successful
clubnite and T Shirt Company,
plus several notable failures
that we won't go into here.
Vegan since 1984 which
coincidentally was the
last time his fave footie
team Everton completely
ruled the roost. Huge admiration
for and inspiration from
Davey Moyes, Toffees current
manager. As organizer of
the Bristol Vegan Fayre
year in year out, one can
comfortably assume Timbo,
like most managers and
keepers, is a little bit
Dagenham East.....that's
3 stops past Barking, for
those of you who are unfamiliar
with the East London tube
lines.
Poppy -
Not in the least bit interested
in football, Poppy has
recently joined the firm
to work exclusively on
the BVF, having just
graduated with a first
in Interactive Arts from
Manchester Metropolitan
University. Multi talented,
and veggie all her life,
Poppy has recently gone
vegan and is looking
forward to taking time
off after the fayre to
go traveling. In the meantime
she is working hard on
all aspects of the BVF
including organizing the
fashion show, whilst also
continuing her own practice
as an artist/curator. Massively
enthusiastic and a huge
addition to the team.
Fred is Poppy's brother and
has worked with Yaoh
for nearly four years now,
since he jacked in his
college course and got
himself a job. Fred looks
after the books as well
as the invoicing and
packing and is the Claude
Makelele of the team (or
even Lee Carsley if he
had less hair), holding
together the midfield and
defence without ever missing
a stride. Named heroes
on MySpace page include
Liam Gallagher and Ryan
Giggs. Both Fred and Poppy
have known Timbo all their
lives, and their mum Julie
is often to be seen at
the shows on the Yaoh stall
or doing one of here
legendary Blackcurrant
Tofu Cheesecakes demos.

Tony Bishop-Weston
Tony
is currently our PR expert,
and has been around the
block a few times. Having
started life in an infamous
west London family delicatessen
he worked for a marketing
company before fleeing
the city of London for
the tranquil Lochside
Lochbroom setting of Taigh
Na Mara near Ullapool Scotland.
Here he won various awards
including Vegetarian
and Vegan Guesthouse of
the year that he ran for
the B&B that he ran for
10 years, and where he
penned his notorious vegan
cookbook - Rainbows & Wellies.
After 12 months as a
volunteer drive time
presenter at the local
Radio Station Lochbroom
FM he wandered south
again. He ended up first
at The Vegetarian Society
in Manchester and then
at The Vegan Society
as PR and marketing manager. Meanwhile he met and fell
in love with the operations
director of Cranks Yvonne
Bishop-Weston whom he married
and wrote his second recipe
book Vegan by Hamlyn. He
now manages Yvonne's nutrition
consultancy Foods for Life
and his own vegan PR company
PEA PR.
He can be spotted on www.veggievision.co.uk and
is a compulsive blogger
.
Loads of supporters and
volunteers!
The BVF has enjoyed huge
support from a variety
of individuals and organisations,
many of whom are currently
supporting the show in
one way or another. To
all our well - wishers,
activists and supporters,
a huge and heartfelt thanks
going out to all of you
for bothering - you know
it's appreciated, and we
couldn't do the show without
y'all.
