Main Stage
The main stage was truly awesome with a stunning hi energy performance from The Beat, who capped the show on Sunday. Bristol up and coming ska/dance outfit First Degree Burns provided an excellent warm up to the Beat, meanwhile local acts Chemical Dub Theory and Se Fire rocked the crowd on Saturday before Manchester indie demigods Puressence did the business. Before that Harem Nights brought a truly international flave to the BVF 07 with their North African beats and superb dancers and costumes. And let's not forget David Straitjacket the escapologist who finished with a magnificent performance by escaping from a large plastic bag wrapped in chains. Plus an eclectic mix of top toons all weekend from DJ maestro ChrisCross. Thanks to Centre Stage and Ed especially for running the main stage.

Acoustic Stage
Excellent standard of music and entertainment throughout, highlights include the amazing Rubber Ritchie the contortionist, two superb fashion shows, brilliant clowning from Mr Brett, dope toons from DJ Mavin, lush jazz from Ben Blackmore, Denise Morgan on guitar and vocals, and great opener from Silver Spurs, a solo sarod performance from Simon Kohli and some pukka tunes from Zion Flex and Tom McCallister. Big up to Centre Stage and BES soundsystems for all their help.

Talks and Demos
The talks and demos were really well received this year, with a huge selection and many of them packed. Thanks to all our super talented and knowledgeable speakers for their efforts, the feedback has been excellent and many people walked away truly inspired by what they had seen, heard and learnt. The talks and demos schedule is right at the heart of the BVF and we thank all of those who contributed. Thanks also to Ace (PA's), our talks room host Alice and also to Tony Bishop Weston for running the cookery demos area.

Hemp Expo
This was a great little corner of the show, with a good few hemp companies represented, a lovely display of industrial hemp uses put together by Derek (Hempathy) and a great little selection of talks from a number of hemp experts. Very well received by a number of visitors to the show, and a great example of people working together to achieve a common goal. Thanks especially to Dominic from Cress for arranging the very generous sponsorship for the Hemp Expo from Nutiva.

Vegan Bodybuilders
Once again for the fifth year running the vegan bodybuilders calmly showed the crowd that you don't need meat and dairy to be huge and strong, with a stall, competition, talk and then the 'half monty' which saw several scantily clad male bodybuilders entertain the crowd with a certain panache. Thanks to Pete and Maz especially, and a big shout out to Robert from the USA, who was represented too. See here for the full report plus some excellent pictures

Sikh Martial Artists
Back for the second year running due to popular request, Harjinder and his stunning team of young fighters took the crowd to their limits with an awesome display of swordsmanship and martial arts with two displays throughout the day. Absolutely amazing and hopefully back again next year. Thanks to Harjinder and the team for their excellent work.

PETA Display
For the first time at the BVF we were able to welcome the world's biggest animal rights group, PETA. Their display tent was sensational and they were able to get over a huge amount of info to our visitors in their own unique fashion. We are very grateful to PETA for coming and do hope they and their supporters will be back in force next year.

Vegan Environmental Awards
The Yaoh 007 Vegan Environmental Awards were presented in some style at the BVF 07 on the main stage Sunday when Tim from Yaoh (and instigator of the BVF) took the stage alongside a big pink fluffy pig (Wonderpig) and a pirate by the name of Long John Tofu to present the awards. In true Timbo/Yaoh/Bristol fashion, the awards were made to all the people who finished second, as in this game we are truly all in it together. A series of calamities were passed off as part of the act and in the end a good time was had by all.

Wonderpig
Wonderpig was the biz!!!!! He promised a lot, and delivered bang on. What a true vegan cartoon superhero! Absolutely top dollar, stole the show several times including walking away with the 'half monty' prize as well as saving the awards ceremony from total disaster. Wonderpig knows all about disasters because he is a Man City supporter, and we are deeply grateful for all his assistance at the BVF 07, both during the event and also for his support in the build up. You can read all about Wonderpig by purchasing his first book here

BVF Team
Just truly brilliant. Thanks so much to all of you for your superb efforts. We have had some gorgeous feedback about the stewards, security and organisers, and we all agree everyone was really excellent. If you were part of the BVF 07 team - take a bow. Richly deserved. We couldn't have asked for more.....special thanks to Kate, Ellen and Theresa, and a massive shout out to Poppy, our team coordinator and chief organiser
Sponsors and Stallholders
What a team of players! Nearly everyone had a brilliant time and lots have already tried to book again for next year! Once again the quality of the stalls was unsurpassable and all our visitors were able to experience a whole new dimension in the vegan lifestyle thanks to the imagination, commitment and desire from all the people who took part. Thanks guys and gals, you were all truly amazing.
Bristol City Council and the Harbour Authorities
Big thanks to all those involved in making sure we could go ahead safely with an event of this scale. The Council and local authorities have been superb in their assistance and deserve much credit - especially Stacey and Adam from BCC and also Steve the harbourmaster. Thanks also to Alan at Bristol Explore, and of course our star studded security team, Delta, led by Julian and Gavin. Absolutely excellent. Bristol's proud of you all.
