YAOH 007 VEGAN ENVIRONMENTAL
AWARDS
MARCH 07 UPDATE
The Yaoh 007 Vegan Environmental Awards
came into being earlier this year, with
the aim to help highlight the massive
positive impact that the vegan lifestyle
can have on the environment. Seven categories
and seven nominees make up 49 of the
most influential people, products, businesses
and organisations that are helping bring
through the vegan message to an even
wider audience as the vegan lifestyle
continues to grow in popularity across
the globe.
The awards are voted for online by the
people - and everyone can vote once a
month from January 07 through to June
5 th 07, when 'the lines will close'
as they say.
So far the response has been phenomenal.
Nearly all the nominees are displaying
promotional material for the awards on
their websites, bulletins, press releases,
mail outs and newsletters, or via their
shops/businesses/outlets etc, as well
as getting their mates to vote. Masses
of votes have already been cast and by
the time we hit May/June, literally 10's
of thousands of votes will have been
cast. The awards area of the website
is also seeing hundreds of hits each
day with an average of 8 pages being
read, meaning thousands of people are
already reading about the 49 nominees
every month - many for the first time.
We'll be announcing the winners at the
Awards ceremony on Sunday June 10 th
at the Bristol Vegan Fayre, when vegan
cartoon superhero Wonderpig will be flying
in to present the awards. All the categories
are still really close, with no obvious
winners yet, and many just a few votes
apart, but meanwhile, here is a quick
update of the current 'top 3' in each
category so far - in no particular order,
mind. Keep voting, folks, and thanks
